I can't believe Christmas is over already! I was so busy decking the halls and getting all holly/jolly that I never had time to write about all of the fun things we were doing. Sorry!
We decorated our apartment and trimmed our tree ages ago, but, for the sake of tradition, I thought I should still document it here.
For all of you.
You're welcome.
We hosted a Friendsgiving feast at our place the day after Thanksgiving and we spent the day after that getting into the Christmas spirit.
We picked out our favorite ornaments, including last year's homemade handprints. Addie is a HUGE Dora fan these days, so she was very excited about a certain ice-skating Explorer.
Aaron and Lilly baked a batch of cookies while I tried to prevent Addie from pulling the tree down.
The girls were both so excited to have such a pretty tree in the house and they loved decorating it.
In fact, Lilly was so into the decorating part that for days afterward, I would find random objects stuffed inside or hanging on the branches. I'm talking, string cheese wrappers, a first-aid kit, Aaron's keys, my phone... you know, all the things that scream Christmas cheer.
Addie loved removing all of the ornaments within her reach and either breaking them or putting them in a stroller and pushing them around our place. And then breaking them.
We'll probably keep the tree up for the rest of the year. We're not ready to part with it just yet.
