Mommy-isms

Bill Cosby taught us that kids say the darndest things... but have you, as a parent, ever listened to the ridiculous stuff that comes out of your mouth? Seriously. It's insane the stuff you say when you have kids. I swear, I never said crazy things like this before I spent most of my day talking to a toddler.

"I know, Ad.  I can't believe the things I say, either."

Here are some of my favorite recent quotes:

"Why is there pasta in your panties? Oh, two pastas? OK, that's fine."

"Mickey Mouse is taking his nap. He was very, very sleepy."

"No, you can't fit all of your fingers in your nose."

"Did you poop? Yay! Awesome!"

"Where is the poop?"

"Sorry. We can't have sprinkles for dinner."

And my personal favorite: "I'm your mommy, not your enemy."

  1. Not a mommy yet, but I my sister-in-law and I talk about this often. I get the chance to take care of my nephews a lot and find myself saying crazy stuff too! "No, Joey. Feet belong on the floor, not on the baby." or "No! Don't touch it! It's not a cookie! It's poop! Everyone out of the tub!" haha
